Who is Basic Existential Boy?
Jim (aka Basic Existential Boy) is a successful Birmingham businessman known for his love of the arts. He has a passion for helping the next generation of creatives and has supported many initiatives that help young people, along with his own charity, Epic Youth.
During lock-down Jim started to re-evaluated what brought him joy and he started to express himself via poetry. Basic Existential Boy was born and then spurred on with the Covid poetry collection when Jim fell ill with symptoms of the virus during February 2020.
The experience of ill health and isolation created a passion in merging his love of the arts with his a desire to help other people to unleash their inner creative.
Jim has experienced first hand how much exercising the left side of his brain had created different thinking patterns that had helped him become more innovative in his problem solving so the possibilities and the positives to gain were endless.
Jim's first books, Basic Existential Boy and Covid Spring are available to purchase on amazon, with all proceeds going to support Epic Youth.
